It’s a busy building with a lot of other jewelry businesses around. We don't have a big, shiny showroom with lights. It’s more of a practical office where we do the actual work of managing gems. Most of our day is spent at the desks, checking inventory and filling out paperwork. It’s a private limited company, but it’s just a few of us here. The elevators in the building can be slow, but we don't mind the wait. We aren't big on promotional talk or trying to sound like a giant corporation. We just focus on the gems and getting things right for the people we work with. Rajasthan is a huge place for this trade, and being in this part of Jaipur feels right. It’s crowded and loud outside, but inside we just keep our heads down and work. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just what we need to get the job done. It’s a straightforward business in a very old part of town.
