You can find Waterfall Restaurant & Swing Bar tucked away inside Manish Hotel on Dobson Lane. Howrah is a crowded place, and this lane is no different. It’s on P 1, and honestly, the street can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t from around here. I’ve been here for a bit now, and I’ve seen all sorts of people come through the doors. Some are staying at the hotel and just want a drink, while others come from the nearby offices after work. The swing bar part is what people usually talk about first. It’s a bit different, having those seats instead of regular chairs, but people seem to like it once they sit down. We try to keep the lights low to make it more comfortable. The kitchen staff is always running around because Dobson Lane gets busy with deliveries all day long. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough space for everyone, but we make it work. I spend a lot of time checking on the bar inventory and making sure the glasses are clean. It’s a job like any other, really. We get the morning rush of hotel guests and then the evening crowd. The music is usually playing in the background, but you can still hear the city noise outside. It’s just a local spot where you can sit for a while and forget about the traffic. We just keep serving and cleaning until the last person leaves.
