Diamond Hotel & Restaurant

Diamond Hotel & Restaurant is situated in Howrah on Hari Mohan Bose Road. Being in West Bengal, especially this close to the main parts of Howrah, it gets very crowded. The 711101 area is known for being busy. People are always coming and going because of the railway and the general commerce around here. We run both the hotel side and the restaurant side. It means there is always something that needs fixing or a room that needs to be cleared out. The street outside can get quite noisy with the horns and the people talking. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It is just us here every day making sure things are okay for the people who stop by. Sometimes the weather in Howrah is very humid and that makes working in the kitchen a bit of a challenge. We just carry on with the daily chores. The restaurant stays open for the regulars and the people staying in the hotel. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, I suppose. We’ve been on Hari Mohan Bose Road for a long time. You get used to the rhythm of the place after a while. The hotel guests usually want to know about local transport and we try to tell them what we know. It is just a local spot for people needing a place to stay or a meal in Howrah. We keep the place running every single day and that takes up all of our time.
