Star Shine

We’re located at 23 Dobson Road, right near N Mukhrjee Road in Howrah. If you’ve ever been to Howrah, you know it’s one of the most crowded and energetic places around. There’s always something happening on the street outside. We have our little spot here and it’s where we do all our business. The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the horns honking and people shouting all day long. We keep the place as tidy as we can, but with so many people coming in and out from the dusty streets, it’s a constant battle. We have a small team here and we just get on with the work. Most of our day is spent dealing with customers and sorting out the inventory we have in the back. It’s a very hands-on job. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. The light in the shop isn't great, so we have to keep the overhead lamps on even during the day. Howrah is a tough place to work sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but we like being right in the thick of things. It’s an honest living and we’ve been at this address for quite a few years now. The floor is concrete and stays a bit stained no matter how much we scrub it. It is what it is.
