Meghdoot Bar & Restaurant

If you are walking around Dobson Lane in Howrah, you will eventually see our place. It is located at P 3 A and it has been a fixture here for some time. Howrah is always moving and there is so much noise and activity outside our doors every single day. We open the bar and restaurant and just get to work. It is a plain setup, nothing that looks like a high-end lounge you might find in the newer parts of town. We have tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. People come in after a long shift to sit down for a bit. Some stay for a quick meal while others just want a drink to relax. The lighting isn't too bright and that is how people seem to like it. Being in Dobson Lane means we see all sorts of people walking by. We spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure the bottles are stocked. It gets a bit crowded on the weekends when everyone is out. We don't do anything special or flashy to get attention. We just open the doors and let people in. The kitchen gets hot and the staff is usually running around quite a bit during the evening hours. It is a basic place for a basic evening out. That is just the way Meghdoot has always been for the people in Howrah who know us. We just keep things moving as best as we can.
