Majestic Restaurant

If you're looking for us, you’ll have to head into the Uday Super Market on Ram Charan Seth Road in Howrah. We are at numbers 36 and 38 inside the market complex. It’s a bit of a maze in there sometimes, especially when it’s busy with shoppers, but most people know where we are. We’ve been serving food here for a long time. It’s a small restaurant, nothing too fancy at all. We have a few tables and chairs, and a kitchen that stays pretty busy from morning till evening. We mostly serve the people who work in the market or folks who are out doing their daily shopping. The atmosphere is loud and there’s always something happening right outside our door. It’s a very local spot. We don't have a printed menu that changes every week; we just cook what people like. The floor is a bit worn down from all the boots coming in and out, and the walls have that look of a place that’s seen a lot of cooking. We’re just regular people running a kitchen. It gets hot back there in the summer, but we just keep the fans on and keep going. We don’t do any fancy advertising. People just know we’re here and they come in when they’re hungry. It’s a simple, hardworking place in the middle of a busy Howrah market.
