Maa Annapurna Restaurant

Maa Annapurna Restaurant is right on Station Road in Bagnan. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around the Howrah district with people coming and going from the trains all day. We started this place because people need a spot to sit down for a bit and eat something simple when they are traveling or just finished a long shift. It is not a fancy building, just a regular shop where we cook what we know. The noise from the station is always there in the background, but you get used to it after a while. Most of our regulars are folks who work nearby or students heading home. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen making sure things are ready before the afternoon rush hits. Sometimes the chairs are full and it gets a bit cramped, but that is just how it is on Station Road. We don't have a big menu with complicated names, just the kind of food we eat at home. Bagnan is a growing place, but we like to keep things the way they have always been. We open early to get the stove going and stay until the last main trains have passed. It is just a local business run by people who live right here in the neighborhood. We don't worry about decorations much, we just focus on the pots and pans.
