Jaydev Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited. Kalamnuri, Hingoli. We operate out of Pimperkhed in Kalamnuri. Shivaji Shyamrao Deshmukh’s place is where you’ll find us if we aren't out in the fields. Hingoli is a quiet place, mostly focused on agriculture. A small group of us decided to stop working in silos and start working as a unit. Farming here involves a lot of waiting for the right weather. When the harvest comes, everyone is busy, and that’s when the company helps the most. Organizing how we get the produce out to the markets is a priority. It’s much better than everyone trying to find their own way. Turmeric and cotton are common in this part of Maharashtra, and that’s what we deal with most. Our "office" is simple. A space to talk and keep the ledgers is all it is. Experts or consultants don't exist here. Using the experience our grandfathers had, mixed with whatever new info we can get from the government, is how we manage. Keeping up with all the rules for companies is hard, but we are learning. Making sure the farmer doesn't get cheated is why we do this. All of us are in the same boat, so we look out for each other. Surviving and hopefully doing a bit better each year is the plan. Heart and hard work go into this effort every single day.
