Aadi S. S. Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is tucked away in Bramhanwada. We operate from the house of Keru Hanumanta Arote. Akole is a beautiful area but the farming here takes a lot out of you. We are in the Ahmednagar district where the soil can be tricky depending on which side of the hill you are on. Our group is small and we mostly look out for each other. There isn't any corporate structure here. We just meet up at the post office area or at the house to talk about what needs doing. Sometimes we are moving bags of fertilizer and other times we are just trying to fix a broken tractor. It’s a lot of physical work and the sun doesn’t show much mercy. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or slogans. We just want to make sure we can sell our stuff for a decent price so we can keep going next year. If you come looking for us in Bramhanwada, just ask for the Arote family. We’re usually around somewhere. We don't have a receptionist or anything, just us. It’s a simple life and we try to keep the business simple too. Every day brings a new problem to solve, but that’s just how farming in Akole is. We don't worry about the big world too much, just what is happening in our own fields and with our own families. It's enough to keep us busy from sunrise to sunset.
