Munshilalbaburam Kisan Producer Companylimited is located right in Bazar Shambha. If you know the Shahabad area in Hardoi, you probably already know the market here. We are at Avnish Kumar’s place. It is a busy little spot, especially on the market days when everyone is bringing their goods in to sell. We started this company to help the local kisans get a better handle on their own business affairs. There are a lot of us here who have been farming for generations. Using the name Munshilalbaburam is just our way to respect the people who came before us in this village. We are not fancy people. Most days we are wearing our work clothes and we are covered in a bit of dust from the road. The office is small and tucked away in the bazaar, so there is always a lot of noise and people passing by the door. It is a good spot because we are right where the actual trade happens. We deal with the seeds, the crops, and all the red tape that comes with being a registered company. It is a lot of paperwork, which none of us really like doing, but it has to be done to keep things legal. We talk about the weather a lot, mostly wondering if the rains will be enough this year. Hardoi is a tough place to farm sometimes.
