Gadaipur Bhadaura Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in the village of Gadipur in the Hardoi district. We are registered at Ashok Kumar Hariyawan’s place. Hardoi is a big agricultural area and there are many people here who depend entirely on the soil. We started this group because the middleman was taking too much of our profit. We thought if we had our own company, we could go directly to the bigger markets or even process some of our stuff ourselves. It has been a learning curve for all of us. None of us went to business school, we just know how to grow crops. Gadipur is a small place where everyone knows everyone else. When we have a meeting, it is more like a gathering of friends and neighbors. We talk about the price of diesel, the monsoon, and how the crops are looking this year. We don't have fancy brochures or a marketing team. We just have our hands and our land. Being a producer company in Bhadaura means we have to be responsible for each other. Sometimes it is stressful when the crops don't do well, but having the company makes us feel a bit stronger. We just want to work hard and get a fair price for the food we grow. It is a simple life in Hardoi and we wouldn't change it.
