Hardoi Vivekanand Agriculture Producer Company Limited is based in a village called Jagdish Pur, right in the Hardoi district. Our work happens at Nand Kishore’s place. Hardoi is a place where almost everyone has something to do with farming, so we fit right in. We chose the name Vivekanand because it felt right for what we wanted to do, which is basically just working hard and staying honest. Nand Kishore has been around here forever and knows the land better than most. Our office, if you want to call it that, is just a room where we keep our registers and wait for people to drop by. The village of Jagdish Pur is a tight-knit community, so news travels fast whenever we have something new to share. We don't use any big words or corporate talk because that isn't who we are. We are just men and women who know what it’s like to work in the sun all day. Some days are better than others, especially when the market prices are decent. We spend a lot of time just listening to what the other farmers in 241001 have to say about their troubles. We try to help where we can, whether it's finding better seeds or figuring out the transport. It’s a slow process, but we are in no hurry to become anything other than a local support.
