Kendu-Kalai Farmers Producer Companylimited

Our group is called Kendu-Kalai Farmers Producer Companylimited. We are situated in Akalibari village, which is in the Kalaigaon area. This is part of Udalguri and Darrang districts. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources. Most of us have been working these fields since we were kids. Akalibari is a small place where everyone knows each other’s business. We grow the usual crops that do well in this soil. It’s hard work, especially when the weather doesn't cooperate. We formed this company to have a better way to sell what we grow. It’s not about becoming rich; it’s about making sure we can keep farming next year. We meet up when we aren't busy in the fields. The language we use is simple because we are simple people. We don't have a big corporate headquarters, just the village and our homes. Our focus is on the day-to-day tasks of farming. It’s a lot of sweat and long hours, but it’s what we do. We hope that by working together, we can make things a little easier for everyone in the village. It’s a community effort through and through. We are just neighbors helping neighbors to keep the farms running and the families fed. We deal with the seeds, the fertilizer, and the harvest one day at a time. It’s a long road but we are walking it together as a company now.
