Our spot is at House 108 in Puranichuk village. It is right on Kumargaon Path in the Golaghat area. We are a group of local farmers from around this part. We called it Athkhelia Agro because that name means something to us in this corner of Assam. We deal with farming stuff every single day. The office is just a small place in the village where we gather to talk. Most of our members live nearby in Kumargaon or Napamua. We focus on what grows best in our local soil. Farming is always a gamble with the weather, but doing it together makes it a bit easier to handle. We share tips on seeds and how to keep the bugs away without spending too much money. We are not a fancy business. We are just people who have worked the fields since we were children. Some days the sun is too hot and we just sit under the trees and talk about the next season. We wanted to make sure our crops reach the market without too much trouble from the buyers. That’s the main reason we set this up. Golaghat is a good place for farming if you know what you are doing with the land. We are just trying to keep the tradition going while making enough to support our homes.
