You will find us in a village called Rupkolia, which is located near the Barpathar-Jamuguri-Golaghat Road. We are quite close to Furkating in the Golaghat district. Our company name is Golaghat Tomato Farmer Producer Company Limited because tomatoes are a big part of what we do here. Farming tomatoes is a bit of a gamble because they can spoil so quickly if you do not get them to the market fast. A group of us farmers in the village decided that we would be better off if we worked together. That is why we started this producer company. We meet up at our place in Rupkolia to talk about how the harvest is going and what the prices are like. We are not business experts or anything like that. We are just people who know how to work the land. The road near us can get really bad during the rainy season, which makes it hard to move the crates of tomatoes.
