Rupahi Producer Company Limited

Our small office is based in Bareigaon village, which is part of the Bajali area in Barpeta. We are located at Bikram Boro’s place. It’s a quiet spot, mostly surrounded by fields and other houses. We started this producer company because we wanted a way for the local farmers to work together instead of everyone doing their own thing and struggling. It isn't a high-tech operation. We have some tables, some ledgers, and a lot of patience. Most days involve someone dropping by to talk about their harvest or to ask about getting fertilizer. We try to keep things moving along even when the weather isn't helping. Being in Assam, we have to deal with the rains and the heat, which affects everything we do. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the day-to-day tasks like keeping the accounts straight and talking to the members. It’s a very local effort. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just tell it like it is. If the crops are good, we are happy. If there are problems, we sit down and try to figure it out together. It’s just how things go here in Bareigaon. We are just regular people trying to make a living from the land and help our neighbors do the same. Sometimes we get things wrong, but we always try to fix it.
