Doyang Dhansiri Fed Bamboo Producer Company Limited

Down in Rengmai village, near Rajapukhuri, we started this bamboo producer company. The name comes from the Doyang and Dhansiri rivers that flow through our region, which is why the soil here is so good for growing things. We are based out of Sarupathar, and if you come by, you’ll see we are just a simple local setup. Most of the people involved are farmers who have lived in these parts their whole lives. We don't have a flashy office or a bunch of executives in suits. It’s just us, working out of a small building in the village, trying to organize how we sell our bamboo. Some days are spent coordinating with the different families in Rengmai to see who has enough stock ready for the market. Other days, we are just trying to fix the old equipment or talking to the truck drivers about the route to the main road. It gets dusty in the summer and very muddy in the monsoon, but the bamboo doesn’t stop growing, so we don't stop working either. We handle everything from the initial cutting to the final loading. It is hard on the hands and the back, but it is what we know how to do. We are just a bunch of local guys from Sarupathar trying to do right by the land and the people who live on it, one load at a time.
