Fanap Tea Producer Company Limited is located right near the LP School in the village of Fallangani. It is a very easy place to find because you can hear the kids playing during the day. We are in the Golaghat area, which everyone knows is famous for tea. We are a small producer company made up of local folks. We spend our days tending to the tea bushes and making sure the leaves are picked at the right time. It is a lot of bending and reaching, and your hands get stained green from the juice of the leaves. We don't have any fancy machinery. We do things the old-fashioned way because that’s how we learned. The rain in Golaghat is no joke, and sometimes we are working in the mud for hours. We meet up at our small office near the school to sort out the day's pickings. It’s a group effort, and everyone in the village knows someone who works with us. We aren't a big brand you see on TV. We are just the people who grow the tea you drink. We don't have a mission statement or anything like that. We just want the tea to be good so we can keep the business going. Life in Fallangani is simple and we focus on our work. The smell of fresh tea leaves is always in the air here. It is just our way of life.
