Udayachal Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited

Down in the village of Sonu Direk, near Kakopathar, is where we run Udayachal Fed Farmer Producer Company Limited. Bhoben Mohanta, who is Rone’s son, lets us use his place for the paperwork and our meetings. We are all just local folks who spend most of our time working in the dirt. Being a farmer producer company basically means we are trying to not get cheated when it comes time to sell our stuff. We grow whatever the season allows us to. It is a lot of manual labor, and your back usually hurts by the time the sun goes down. We did not really know much about starting an official company at first, but we figured it out as we went along. It is not about being some big executive. It is about making sure the village of Sonu Direk gets a fair shake. We talk a lot about the dirt, the pests, and how the market is looking over in Kakopathar. Sometimes the harvest is great, and sometimes it is not so good, but we are all in it together. We do not use big words or have a website. We just talk to our neighbors and work the land. It is a quiet life mostly. You see the same faces every day, and we all know whose cow is whose. We are just trying to keep our farms running so the kids have something when they grow up. It is just honest work, nothing more and nothing less.
