Dhansiri Farmer Producer Company Limited is based in Sarupathar. Our main spot is Bhoben Saikia’s house. We are just a group of local farmers trying to get things organized. It gets busy during the harvest time. We spend a lot of time talking about seeds and weather. Not much else to say really. We use the village as our base. It's been that way for a bit now. The roads can be dusty but we manage to get around. Most of us grew up here. We know the land well. Our company isn't some big office. It's just us in Sarupathar. We handle the crops and try to help each other out when things get tough. Sometimes the rain stays away too long, other times it's too much. That’s just how it is. We keep our tools and papers at the village house. If you come looking for us, just ask for Bhoben Saikia’s place. People know us around here. It's a simple setup. We don't have fancy signs or anything. Just the work and the fields. We've got a lot of stories from the last few seasons. Some good, some not so much. But we keep going. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. The sun comes up, we go out. That's the life here. We hope to keep this going for a long time without making things too complicated for ourselves or the neighbors.
