Abrakha Agricutural & Horticulture Producer Company Limited

Abrakha Agricultural is based in Panjarpatta village, out by Katoria. We use Rajendra Yadav’s place as our main point of contact. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here sometimes, especially after it rains and the roads get muddy. But this is our home. We deal with both regular crops and some horticulture stuff, depending on what the season allows. We aren't experts with degrees; we’re just people who have spent our lives looking at the dirt and the sky. This company started because we wanted to have a collective voice in the market. It’s hard to get noticed when you’re just one person with a small plot. By coming together in Baniyakura, we can manage things a bit better. We spend a lot of time talking about which fruits will grow best or how to handle the pests this year. There’s always something that needs fixing or someone who needs a hand with their harvest. We don't have a lot of polish or a big budget. We just have our hands and our knowledge of the land. It’s a humble way to live, but it’s a good one. We’re just trying to make sure our kids can keep farming this land if they want to. That’s what matters most to the folks here in Panjarpatta.
