Fitkoriya Farmers Producer Company Limited is based in Fitkoria village, which is under Bengabad in Giridih. Arjun Yadav, Churaman Mahto’s son, handles a lot of the work here. We are just a group of local farmers who decided to team up. We don't have any fancy training in business. Everything we know, we learned from working the fields. Our village is a quiet place where people mostly look after their own land. We started this company to help each other out with seeds and selling our harvest. It’s not a big operation. We usually meet at Arjun’s place to discuss things. Bengabad is where we go for most of our needs. Life here moves slowly, following the seasons. We aren't interested in being a big name. We just want to make sure our families are okay. You'll find us out in the sun most days. We don't use much technology, just the basic tools we've always used. Sometimes the harvest is good, and sometimes it's not so good. We just take it as it comes. We are plain-speaking people. If you come to Fitkoria, you'll see us working. There’s nothing hidden or complicated about what we do. It’s just farming and looking after the local community as best as we can without making any fuss about the hard work.
