New Ecofresh Farmers Producer Company Limited is situated in Bergi village near Sirsia in the Giridih area. We use Sitaram Prasad Verma’s place as our main address for the business. Most of us here in Giridih are farmers and we have been doing this for as long as we can remember. We started this company because we wanted to do things a bit differently than our fathers did. It is just a group of local guys and their families trying to manage the crops better. We do not have any big investors or anything just our own hands and the land we have. The weather in Jharkhand can be a bit unpredictable so we spend a lot of time worrying about the rain. When we are not in the fields we are usually at Sitaram’s place talking about what to plant next or how to get the harvest to the market. It is a lot of back and forth and sometimes we do not agree on everything but we get it done. We are just regular people from the village. No one here is wearing a tie or sitting in a cubicle. We are out in the dirt most days of the week. The address is 815301 and that is where we handle the paperwork although there is not too much of it.
