Giridhan Mahila Producer Company Limited

Our company is run by women here in Giridih, specifically in the Rtabahiyar area. We are located at house number 37, and Badri Narayan Yadav is associated with our location. It’s a group of us who wanted to do something productive with our skills and the resources we have. We mostly focus on local produce and things we can make or grow together. Giridih is where we live and work every day. It’s not a big corporate setup. It’s more like a group of neighbors helping each other out. We meet up and talk about what needs to be done. Sometimes it’s about the harvest, other times it’s about making things to sell. We handle everything ourselves, from the planning to the actual labor. It’s not always easy balancing this with our homes and families, but we make it work. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just rely on our hands and our hard work. Most people in the area know who we are. We are just trying to be self-sufficient and help the other women in the village too. It’s a simple operation, but it means a lot to us. We just keep going, one day at a time, and hope for a good season. There are plenty of chores to do, so we stay busy. We don't need much, just some decent weather and a bit of cooperation among the group. This is how we’ve decided to build something for ourselves right here in Jharkhand.
