Aarohi Farmers Producer Company Limited is based over in Karmatand which is in the Leda area of Giridih. We use Amit Kumar Verma’s place for our company address. He is the son of Khublal and has been around here for a very long time. Like most people in this part of Jharkhand we are all about the farming. We put this company together so we could work as a team instead of everyone just doing their own thing. It is a lot easier to handle the big stuff when you have a few more people involved in the decision. We grow all sorts of things depending on the season and the water. Giridih is where we call home and we do not plan on going anywhere else. The work is tough and there are days when things do not go right but that is just life on a farm. We do not have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. We just have our names and the crops we produce. Sometimes we meet up at the end of the day to talk about the market prices or if someone’s tractor is acting up and needs fixing. It is a very local thing with neighbors helping neighbors.
