Manjori Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our group, Manjori Farmers Producer Company Limited, is located right in Manjori village. Yadunandan Sah is the one who helps manage the place. We are set up at Khesra No. 392, which is just a normal spot in the village near Maheshmunda. Giridih is where we all belong. Farming is what everyone does around here, so starting this company felt like the right thing to do. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It's just us, the locals, trying to get our crops to market. The work is mostly manual. We spend a lot of time discussing the weather and the prices of fertilizers. It’s a quiet life in Manjori for the most part. We handle things as they come. If a tractor breaks down or the rain is late, we all sit together and figure it out. We aren't polished business people. We speak plainly and we work on the land. Maheshmunda is the nearest post office. The village is small, so everyone knows everyone else. We just want to make sure the farming in this part of Giridih stays strong. We don't have a fancy website or a big office. We just have our land and our local group. That’s how we've always done things and we plan to keep it that way for the years ahead. It’s just how things go for us here.
