Royal Khalsa Dhaba

Royal Khalsa Dhaba is right on G E Road in Kumhari. If you are driving towards Bhilai, you will pass right by us. It’s a typical roadside spot. The road is always full of trucks and cars going between cities. We have been here at the 490042 pincode for a long time. It’s not a fancy restaurant with air conditioning everywhere. It’s a dhaba, so it feels like one. We have basic seating and a lot of space for vehicles to park outside. Most of the people who stop here are drivers or families on a road trip. It gets quite dusty because of the highway traffic, but that’s just how it is on G E Road. We don't have a big menu with complicated names. We just make the food and serve it. Usually, it's busy at night when the long-haul drivers start looking for a place to eat and rest for a bit. There are a few of us working in the kitchen and out front. We don't have a website or any of that stuff. People just know us because we are on the main road. Kumhari is a small place but the highway keeps us busy. We just focus on keeping the stove going and making sure there is enough tea for everyone. It’s a simple life at the dhaba. The lights are bright so people can see us from the road at night. It’s a landmark for some.
