Saffron Spice Multicuisine Restaurant

We are located inside The Saffron Boutique Hotel on GHS Road in Mangalore. We are right in the Hampankatta area, which most people know is right across from Ganapathi High School. Being in Mangalore, we deal with a lot of rain for part of the year, so the restaurant often becomes a place for people to dry off and have something to eat. It’s a multicuisine setup, so the kitchen handles a lot of different types of dishes. We have been here for a while now, and we’re part of the hotel, but plenty of people who aren't staying upstairs come in just for the food. The atmosphere is generally quiet compared to the busy school street outside. We spend our mornings getting the dining room ready and checking the supplies. The staff here is a small group, and we mostly just focus on getting the work done without making a big deal out of it. It’s a practical place to eat whether you’re a local or just passing through the city. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or anything. We just open up, cook the food, and make sure the place is clean. Hampankatta is always moving, so there’s always something to look at out the window while we work. It’s just a normal part of our day-to-day life here at the hotel. We make sure the coffee is hot and the tables are set.
