Chandu Biriyani Spot

We are located out on Airport Road in the Konchady area of Mangalore. You can find us right opposite the Axis Bank branch there. Being on the main road means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the buses and cars going toward the airport. It is a hot part of the country, so we are used to the Mangalore heat while we work. The kitchen is the main part of what we do here. We spend a lot of time over the big pots of rice and meat. Making biriyani takes a lot of hours and you have to watch the fire carefully. We are not a fancy dining room with air conditioning. We are just a spot where people stop by because they are hungry. Sometimes people are picking up food on their way home from work, and other times they just sit for a few minutes. The 575008 area has grown a lot, but this spot has stayed fairly consistent for us. We have our regulars who come in every week. It is a lot of hard work standing on your feet all day, but that is how it goes. We don't worry about being a big name. We just want to make sure the food is ready when the lunch rush starts. It is a basic operation with a few staff members.
