Fish Thali Restaurant

If you find yourself over at Opera Plaza in the Shanthinagara area, you'll see us there. We go by Fish Thali Restaurant and we’ve been at this Nandigudda spot for a while now. Mangalore is a place where people really know their fish, so we try to keep things honest and straightforward with our food. The plaza can get a bit crowded with parked scooters and people moving about, but it’s a lively place to be. We aren’t one of those high-end places with white tablecloths or anything like that. It’s just a room with tables where you can sit down and have a proper meal. Most of our customers come from around the 575001 area or they’re just passing through Nandigudda and need a break. We open up and start the prep early because the thalis take some time to get right with all the different components. It’s a lot of work in the kitchen, especially when the lunch rush hits and everyone wants their food at the same time. You can hear the noise from the street coming in, but nobody seems to mind much. We just focus on serving the food and making sure there’s enough for everyone. It’s a family-run kind of vibe, even if we don't say it out loud. We just do our thing every day at Opera Plaza and hope the locals keep coming back like they have been.
