Dine Point

If you are coming through Thokottu Junction in Mangalore, you’ll probably see us near the bus stand. We are right on Nh-17. It is a very loud and busy spot because of all the buses and trucks passing by all day and night. Being near the bus stand means we get a lot of travelers who are just passing through. They are usually tired and just want a quick bite before their next bus comes. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or plush chairs here at Dine Point. It’s just a basic setup with sturdy tables and a simple kitchen. We cook what people like to eat every day. The staff is just local guys from the neighborhood. We aren't really looking to become some big famous restaurant. We just want to make sure the food is hot and served on time. Sometimes the floor gets a bit messy when it rains outside because everyone walks in with wet shoes. We just mop it up and keep going. It's a honest way to make a living. We have our regulars who stop by for tea or a meal every single day. We know their names and what they usually order. It’s a busy life at the junction, and we are just a part of that daily rush. You won't find any glossy menus here, just honest food for hungry people who need a break from their travels.
