Royal Darbar Restaurant

You can find Royal Darbar Restaurant over in the Minar Complex. We are in the Bendoorwell area of Mangalore, right next to the Kunil Complex. It’s a busy corner of the city. We’ve been running things here for a bit, and it’s mostly just a regular routine for us. We get the kitchen going early because the prep work takes more time than people think. The smell of the food usually starts drifting out toward the street by mid-morning. It’s not a huge place, but we have enough room for the folks who come in. Sometimes we run out of certain things if the market was short that day, but we make do with what’s fresh. Mangalore weather can be a bit much with the humidity, so we try to keep the dining area comfortable. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. My uncle used to run a shop nearby, so he gave us some advice when we started. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just serve the food and hope people like it enough to come back next week. The traffic near Bendoorwell is always a bit of a mess, so parking can be tricky for our customers. We just tell them to find a spot wherever they can. It’s a simple operation here. We don't use fancy machines, just standard kitchen gear and a lot of hard work.
