Penguin Chinese Restaurant And Caterers

We are located right in Bendoorwell, just across the street from Vas Bakery. Most of the students from St Agnes College know where we are because they walk past us every single day on their way to class. We’ve been doing Chinese food and catering for the local Mangalore area for quite some time now. It’s a family-run sort of thing, nothing too formal. We do a lot of small parties and home deliveries when people don't feel like cooking at home. The shop isn't very big, but we manage to get a lot of cooking done in that kitchen of ours. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when the delivery drivers are all waiting at once, but we try to keep things moving as fast as possible. We use the same recipes we’ve had since we first opened our doors. People around here seem to like the way we do things, so we don't see much reason to change. If you need food for a function, we can usually sort that out if you give us a bit of notice ahead of time. We don't have a fancy website or any of that. We just focus on the food and making sure people get what they ordered. It can get pretty humid in the afternoons, but we keep the fans going. It’s just a normal neighborhood restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less. We are here most days if you happen to be in the area and need something.
