Nirvana Fine Dine Restaurant

Nirvana Fine Dine Restaurant is located inside the Roopa Hotel in Balmatta, Mangalore. We are quite easy to find since we are near the Mandovi showroom. Being part of a hotel means we have a specific way of doing things. We spend a lot of time every morning making sure the dining room looks exactly right. The tablecloths have to be straight and the cutlery needs to be put out just so. It is a bit more formal than a regular cafe, but we are still just regular people working here. Mangalore can be very humid, so having the air conditioning running is a must for us and the people who come in. We see a lot of different people, from folks staying at the hotel to local families coming in for a nice dinner. The kitchen is a busy place, especially during the dinner rush when everyone seems to arrive at the same time. We have to stay focused and work together to make sure the food comes out right. Balmatta is a nice part of the city, and being near the showroom means there is always some activity on the street. We don't use any fancy marketing talk about what we do. We just come in, do our shifts, and try to make sure the plates are clean and the customers are fed. It is a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
