Mangala Restaurant

Our place, Mangala Restaurant, is tucked away in Jeppu on Silva Cross Road. It's a busy little corner of Mangalore near Kankanady. We’ve been serving food here for a good while, and most of the people who walk in are locals who live just a few streets away. It isn't a massive place, but we have enough tables for families and people coming from work. The 575002 zip code is where we’ve always been. We don’t do anything too complicated with the menu. It’s just the kind of food we eat at home. You can find us pretty easily if you know the Kankanady area. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the lunch rush starts, but that’s normal for a restaurant in this part of town. We don’t spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. We just focus on getting the plates out on time and making sure the kitchen is clean. The staff is mostly guys who have been with us for years. We know most of our regulars by name and what they usually order. If you’re around Silva Cross Road, you’ll see our sign. We keep the doors open from morning until late evening. It’s a bit of a squeeze when it’s raining, but people don’t seem to mind much. We just keep doing what we do every day without making a big fuss about things, just serving lunch and dinner to whoever stops by.
