Kudla Rasa Prakash Restaurant

Our restaurant is located on Airport Road in the Bejai area of Mangalore. We are right opposite the KSRTC bus stop, which means our front door is usually facing a lot of parked buses and people rushing around with suitcases. It is a very busy spot to be in. Most of the people who come in are travelers who have just arrived in Mangalore or are waiting for their next bus. Because of that, we have to be pretty quick with the orders. People don’t have all day when their bus is leaving in twenty minutes. We focus on local Mangalorean flavors because that’s what we know how to cook best. It’s a simple setup inside, with enough tables to handle the lunch rush. The noise from the bus station is something you just have to live with. It gets quite hot in Mangalore, so we try to keep the place as cool as possible for our customers. The staff is used to the fast pace and they don't talk much, they just get the work done. We’ve been here at Bejai for a long time and have seen thousands of people pass through. We aren't a five-star place, just a reliable spot to get a good meal near the station. It’s a lot of work keeping up with the crowds, but we just take it one day at a time.
