Mithra Tiffin House

Mithra Tiffin House is located at number one, Sri Ganapathy Lodge, on Sasthri Road in Ram Nagar. If you are in Coimbatore, you probably know this area is always moving. We are right in the middle of it. We mostly deal with the morning and afternoon crowds who are looking for a quick breakfast or a tiffin. It is a small place, very simple, just tables and stools. We start very early, way before the sun is up, to get the sambar and the chutneys ready. It’s a bit of a scramble sometimes when the lodge guests all come down at once. Sasthri Road gets very noisy with the buses and the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just a place to eat and go. I’ve been here for years, and I’ve seen children grow up and start coming here with their own kids. We don't use any big machines, just the basic stuff we need for cooking. It is a lot of standing and a lot of heat from the stove. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here at the corner. We just keep serving food until we run out for the day. That is the way we’ve always done it, and we don't plan on changing.
