Apple Color Sorter

Our place is over at S. F. No. 505/3A, in Shivalapuri Amman Nagar. It’s off Nallampalayam Main Road in the Sanganoor area. It’s a bit of a trek to find us if you aren't from this part of Coimbatore. We work on color sorting machines for grains and pulses. It’s a lot of sensors and cameras. The workshop is usually full of half-finished machines and bags of rice or lentils that we use for testing. It’s a bit dusty because of all the grain flying around. We have a small team here, mostly guys who know their way around a circuit board. We don’t go for flashy ads or anything. Most people find out about us because their neighbor bought a machine from us. The Rathinapuri Post is where we get our mail, though it sometimes takes a while to reach us. During the harvest season, we get really busy because everyone wants their sorter fixed at the same time. We just try to keep up with the repairs and new builds. It’s a niche business, but it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the software acts up and we spend hours trying to figure out why a single black grain isn't getting kicked out. We just sit on the plastic chairs by the bench until the problem is solved. It’s hard work but it's what we know. The fans in the ceiling don't do much, but we get by.
