Central Food Technological Research Institute

We work at the Central Food Technological Research Institute site over in Surya Prabha Nagar, which is in the Kannampalayam area near Sulur. It’s a bit of a distance from the middle of Coimbatore, so it stays fairly quiet around here. Our address is Site No. 41, and it’s a dedicated space where we focus on various food technology tasks. It’s not the kind of place that has a lot of foot traffic or visitors. Most of our days are spent in the lab or at our desks, looking at data and testing different things related to food processing. It’s a small team here, and we all have our specific roles to play. The office is functional and has a very practical feel to it. We don't really do any self-promotion; we just get on with the research that needs doing. Working in Surya Prabha Nagar is nice because it’s a bit more relaxed than the city. We have the equipment we need, and the routine is pretty steady from Monday to Friday. Sometimes we have to travel a bit to get supplies or meet with others in the field, but mostly we are right here at Site No. 41. It’s a modest setup but it serves its purpose for the work we do in Tamil Nadu. We are just a group of researchers and staff trying to contribute something useful to the food industry without making a big deal out of it. It’s honest, steady work in a quiet corner of the state.
