We are located at 1295, Mettupalayam Road. If you know the area, you know it’s a major road with a lot of industrial activity. Our business is Apex Roller Flour Mills (P) Ltd. We spend our days grinding grain into flour. It is a noisy job and the mill is always filled with the hum of the rollers. There is a layer of fine white dust on almost everything, no matter how much we clean. That is just the nature of a flour mill. We take the raw grain and process it so it can be used for baking and cooking. It’s a basic necessity, and we take the work seriously even if we don't use big words to describe it. The building is large and functional, built to hold the heavy machinery we need. We don't have a fancy office for visitors. Usually, people just come to the loading dock or the small side room where we do the invoices. We have a crew of guys who have been with us for years. They know the machines inside and out. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just make sure the flour is consistent and the trucks are loaded on time. It is hard, physical work but it feels good to produce something people actually use every day in their own kitchens and homes. It keeps the wheels turning and our neighbors fed.
