Vels International Pre School

We are located at No 480 on the East Coast Road, specifically on the 3rd Main Road South in Neelankarai. Being so close to the coast, we sometimes get a nice breeze, but mostly it’s just the usual Chennai humidity. This is a pre-school, so our days are filled with very small children. The building is designed to be safe for them, with rounded corners and soft mats in certain areas. We have a few different rooms for different age groups. One room is mostly for naps and quiet time, while the others are for playing and learning. We have plenty of colorful posters on the walls showing animals and numbers. The outdoor play area has a slide and some swings that are always popular. We try to let the kids spend as much time outside as the weather allows. Our teachers are energetic people who don’t mind getting down on the floor to play. We spend a lot of time on basic things like sharing and taking turns. It’s a lot of repetition, but that’s how they learn at this age. Parents drop off their little ones early in the morning, and the entryway gets crowded with strollers and bags. We just keep things simple and focus on making sure the kids are well-fed and happy while they are here. It’s a noisy, busy place, but we like it that way.
