Care Learning Center

If you walk down East Avenue in Korattur, you will find Care Learning Center at 19/23. We are right near the Uco Bank, so it’s easy for parents to drop their kids off while they run errands. The center isn't particularly large, but we make the most of the space we have. We’ve got benches pushed together and some charts on the walls to help with the learning. It’s mostly local students who come here after school. We see them walking over in their uniforms, often stopping to grab a snack before they come inside. The room can get a bit warm in the afternoons, but the fans keep things manageable. We spend most of our time going over homework and preparing for the next day’s tests. It’s not a complicated setup. We have a small desk at the front where we keep the registers and some pens. Sometimes we run out of chalk or markers and have to send someone to the shop quickly. It is just the way things go when you’re busy every day. Most of the families in Korattur have heard of us just by living in the area. We don't put out flyers or anything like that. People just know we are here. It is a steady routine of teaching and learning that has been going on for years now. We usually lock up around eight when the last student leaves.
