Caalamka Primary School

Caalamka Primary School is tucked away in Besant Nagar. It’s a primary school, so we mostly deal with the younger kids who are just starting out. Besant Nagar is a well-known area, and being located here makes us quite accessible for the families living in the neighborhood. We don’t have a huge, sprawling campus. It’s more of a compact building that fits into the local streetscape. You might walk right past us if you weren't looking for the sign. Inside, it’s usually pretty loud with children’s voices, which is just how a primary school should be. We don't go in for anything too fancy or complicated. The rooms are basic, with desks and chairs and plenty of drawings on the walls. It’s a place where work gets done without any fuss. Most of our staff have been around for a long time and they know the rhythm of the place. We just focus on the day-to-day stuff, like making sure the bell rings on time and that everyone is where they should be. The location in Besant Nagar is nice because it’s a bit more settled. We don’t have the same crazy traffic as the main highways. It’s just a regular local school. We’re happy being where we are, providing a place for the neighborhood kids to spend their days. It works for everyone involved.
