Gouripur Primary School

Gouripur Primary School is at No 187 on Nsc Bose Road, which is right in the middle of Parrys. If you know Chennai, you know how crowded and hectic Parrys can be. Our school is just a small slice of that madness. We have been here for quite some time, tucked away among all the shops and commercial buildings. It is a bit of a challenge sometimes with all the noise from the street, but the children seem to get used to it. The classrooms are small and we have to make the most of every inch of space we have. There is no big garden or open field here. Instead, the kids play in the corridors or in the small area near the entrance. We are a simple primary school for families who work or live in this part of the city. The teachers are used to the fast pace of life on Nsc Bose Road. We spend a lot of time organizing our supplies and making sure the blackboards are clean. It is a very humble setup. We don’t have fancy computer labs or big lunch halls. People send their kids here because we are local and we have been part of the neighborhood for years. It is an honest place where we just focus on the basics of teaching every day. We don't try to look like anything more than what we are.
