Varna Play School

Our place is tucked away in Nolambur, right behind that Dominos Pizza on the 7th Main Road. If you know the Hig area in Mogappair West, you’ve probably walked past us. It’s No 43/1. Every morning, there is a lot of noise here. Kids crying sometimes because they don't want to leave their moms, but then they see the toys and start playing. We have some colorful walls and small chairs. It’s not a huge building, just a regular space for little ones to spend their day. We spend a lot of time cleaning up blocks and crayons. The staff here lives nearby, so we know the local families well. Sometimes the kids get paint on their clothes, which parents don't always like, but that's part of it. We keep things simple. There’s a small play area and rooms for naps. When the pizza smell wafts over in the afternoon, everyone gets hungry. We follow a basic routine with songs and some basic letters. It's mostly about keeping them safe and busy while parents are at work. The street is usually quiet except for the school vans in the morning. We try to keep the gate closed so no one wanders off. It’s just a neighborhood play school where things are a bit messy but happy. Most of us have been working here for years now. There is always a pile of tiny shoes by the door in the morning.
