Steel Zone

You can find Steel Zone over at No. 106/52A on Ennore High Road. We are right there in Korukkupet. It’s a pretty grit-and-grind kind of area, which suits us just fine. Dealing with steel isn't exactly clean work, so our place looks like a workshop should. We have stacks of metal here and there, and sometimes it gets a bit noisy when things are being moved around. We’ve been on Ennore High Road for a good stretch of time now. Most of the people around here know us as the place to get steel for whatever they are building. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to answer phones with a script. It's just a few of us working with the metal and helping out whoever walks through the gate. The traffic on the high road can be a headache sometimes, but we’re used to it. We keep things pretty informal. If you need something, you just come by and we see if we have it in the pile out back. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just steel. We cut it, move it, and sell it. Our office is small and mostly filled with paperwork and old coffee mugs. We’re more comfortable out where the steel is anyway. It’s an honest way to make a living and we’ve stuck with it because it’s what we know. The neighborhood has changed over the years, but we pretty much stay the same.
