We’ve been operating out of Ambattur for a good while now. Our spot is on the 3rd Main Road, right in the middle of the industrial estate. It’s a busy place with trucks coming in and out all day long. Most of the time, we’re just busy handling the steel stock and making sure things get loaded right. There is always a layer of dust on everything, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. People know us for being here. We don't do much fancy stuff, just keep our heads down and get the work done. The machines can get pretty loud in the afternoons, so sometimes you have to yell a bit to be heard over the noise. It’s not a quiet office job, that’s for sure. Most of us have been working together for years, so we have a rhythm. If you come by, you’ll see the stacks of bright steel waiting for the next truck. We try to keep things organized, though with the amount of material we move, it’s a constant battle. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually take our breaks when things slow down for a minute. It’s just a regular workplace where we deal with metal every single day. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us here in the estate, making sure the orders are ready when they need to be.
