About Amutha Fabrication – Metals & Minerals in Chennai
We are at No. 1, Rajaji Road in Adyar, right near the petrol bunk. Adyar is a crowded place, and being on Rajaji Road means there’s always something happening outside. We’ve been running Amutha Fabrication for a while now. The shop isn't huge, so we have to use every inch of space we have. You’ll see stacks of metal against the walls and tools hanging from hooks. It smells like burnt metal and grease most days. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-weld with our masks down. We just stop what we are doing to see what you need. It’s a simple way of doing business. We have a few regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know we are just regular guys who know how to work with our hands. Sometimes the heat in Adyar is a bit much, but we just drink a lot of water and keep at it. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the city. We just want to do a decent job so we can come back and do it again tomorrow. It’s a quiet life in a loud city. We just take things as they come and try to stay organized. There is usually a layer of dust on everything, but the machines are kept in good shape for the work.
