Akshay Steels

Our business is Akshay Steels and we are over at No 2 Coromondal Town. It is right on Menambedu Road, inside the Sidco Estate. This estate has been around for ages and we have been part of it for a good chunk of that time. We deal mostly with steel products. It is heavy, dirty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We have stacks of steel bars and sheets all over the place. It might look like a mess to an outsider, but we have our own way of keeping track of everything. We don't have any polished brochures or a website with pretty pictures. If you want to see what we have, you just have to come down to the yard and look for yourself. The sun can be really bright out here in the open sections of the estate, so we try to get the heavy lifting done early. We have a small group of guys who have been with us since the beginning. We don't talk much while we work because the machines are quite loud. It is a basic operation. We buy steel, we cut it or shape it, and we sell it. There isn't much more to it than that, and we are happy with how things are.
