A. H. Steel Traders is located at No. 3 Kubera Ganapathy Street in Mathiazhagan Nagar, Padi. If you know the area, it’s mostly industrial and small shops. We deal with steel, obviously. That means a lot of heavy lifting and the sound of metal clanging all day long. We have racks of rods, sheets, and pipes stacked up. It’s a dusty environment and your hands are always dirty by lunchtime. We don't have a fancy office. Most of our business happens right there on the shop floor or over a quick phone call. We get a lot of local fabricators coming in looking for specific lengths or gauges. Sometimes we have to cut things to size, which takes a bit of time and effort with the saws. We’ve been in Padi for a good while. The traffic around here can be a nightmare for the delivery trucks, but we manage to get things out eventually. It’s honest work. We aren't trying to be the biggest steel yard in the city, just a reliable place where people can get what they need for their construction or repair jobs. We know our regulars by name and they know we’ll give them the right stuff without any fuss. The work is physically demanding, but it keeps us on our toes and the days go by pretty fast when there are trucks to load. We just focus on getting the weight and the count right every time.
